I think he knows he likes her, but at the same time having felt like he's not worthy of her or being better than her for so long confuses him now, and so he's not sure how to reconcile being selfishly in love and humbly insecure/inferior. Both of these thought tracks don't mix. One has to drop out of the equation. The confusion stems from how to grow up, not that it needs to happen. Tomo realized she needs to do some growing up, too.

Just like Mizusu, Carol new she had to play along the ride for the plan to work out, just like it did at the end. Mizusu admited she planned it from the beginning, and remember, Carol is the smartest of the group. That's why I'm head over heels for her😍😍😍

This was such an amazing episode, and I laughed so hard. Jun is finally starting to realize something, but maybe even too much.
Carol impersonating Misuzu: "I'll slaughter you socially." - she nailed it, and it had me laughing so much.

Seeing Jun looking at the shining Tomo was pretty entertaining. But really, she looked stunning in that kimono - I absolutely loved it - 10/10 perfect. I also laughed when the guy at the stall took pictures of Tomo, it was pretty nice.

Carol saying which mask is who was so freakin good. I literally died laughing when she pointed at the most evil looking demon mask and said "Misuzu-chan". I had to pause the episode, because I couldn't stop laughing.

About the second part - it kind of returned to the classic of this anime. We got to see Tomo in action against those bad boys. What surprised me was Misaki's rage mode when he thought they hurt Carol - and it was damn good. Well, we saw Gundou doing Gundou stuff - she is just a freakin beast. Also, Gundo + Carol = amazing pair.

That and the "squishy bitch" translation damn near destroyed me. 🤣

I really love the Misuzu x Carol pair so much!! and Misuzu's feelings for Tomo are sus, I know it can be interpreted as friend jealousy, like not wanting to loose your best friend to her boyfriend but at times it sounds like there might be more than just that

So even Carol realizes how lonely Misuzu will be once Jun and Tomo get together. I am sure Tomo will still spend time with her but I do understand it's a scary feeling to feel like your best friend is being taken away from you.

The firework festival was great, seeing Jun not able to ignore Tomo's feminine charms, the way she looked so bright to him and he wasn't able to reset his emotions because she was that potently cute. The next day reaction was funny with Jun greeting her with just a pinky lol. Then seeing later Tomo's reaction to Jun greeting her like normal again was amusing.

I found it interesting that Misuzu called Jun to rescue her and Carol, for two people who have a strong hostility towards each other, there is a level of trust between them for moments like this like how Jun walks Misuzu home afterwards. It is most likely because of the common denominator in their relationship being Tomo, but to me it felt like more than that.

I do have to mention that moment when Misuzu was looking at Tomo and Jun and when Jun realizes she was looking at him his eyes go completely dead, that gave me a laugh.

Misaki going crazy was interesting to see, I thought he was going to join in but not to that degree, that misunderstand made him turn into a beast lol, understandably so.

And I loved how Carol fell face first in that puddle, and Misuzu's like, "This dumb f***ing blond..." XD

Just how deep was that puddle too if they were able to leave a huge trail lol.
